Job Description

The  Traffic Specialist will be responsible for the day to day administration and processing of advertising orders, clock or format changes, inventory management, and log processing and/or creative and continuity responsibilities for multiple radio stations within their own market and/or stations across CMG in order to maximize inventory and revenue.  Requires high-level complex administrative attention to detail and exceptional oral and written communication skills. Will serve in a collaborative manner to support in other capacities, which may include online reporting with our networks, continuity, and copy processing, plus other duties as assigned.  Must be a motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to take the initiative working in a detail oriented job. Must have solid organizational skills and demonstrated ability to use good judgment when multi-tasking or switching seamlessly between competing priorities quickly. Must be able to work calmly under pressure in adeadline-driven environment. Successful candidates also must be proficient in WideOrbit traffic and automation for radio and have experience working in vCreative.


- Responsible for the preparation and creation of daily program logs on multiple stations in or out of market

- Maximize Inventory and revenue through trafficking of spots, log adjustments, scheduling makegoods

- Adapt and adopt all standardization and other initiatives

- Must be able to collaborate effectively with others (sales, content, and other staff in and out of market) to timely and effectively communicate (missing copy to sales, for example) to meet business objectives.

- Understand and effectively and timely complete day to day processing of continuity. - Know how to insert scripts for co-op billing

- Be able to create dub lists and purge materials

- Complete other Traffic and/or Continuity related duties as may be assigned



Job Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or related (preferred)

- 3-5 years of broadcast traffic experience

- WideOrbit experience (at least 1 year)

- vCreative experience (at least 1 year)

- Requires the ability to work non-traditional hours:  Typically M-F, but requires ability to be flexible with shift assignment based on business needs.
