Job Summary

Cox Media Group is seeking a Streaming Distribution & Strategy Lead to join our growing consumer product and innovation team. This position is focused on the exciting and rapidly evolving landscape of CMG’s 24/7 streaming channels across consumer devices and distribution platforms.

Your mission is to:

  • Reach local news consumers on practically all of their video consumption devices
  • Manage our portfolio of streaming distribution channels & partners
  • Streamline and unify management of our streaming partner lifecycle across CMG (content, finance, ad operations, analytics, technology and product)
  • Establish a distribution partner source-of-truth and reporting system
  • Know your numbers when it comes to audience and revenue data
  • Make data-driven decisions to continually evolve and optimize our streaming business and partner portfolio
  • Coordinate legal and finance efforts related to onboarding and offboarding partners
  • Take ownership of our streaming business and do whatever is necessary to fuel its growth
  • Tackle consumer research, data, and market analysis related to the streaming landscape
  • Leverage process automation to apply business rules and drive uniform adoption
  • Define, track and learn from metrics of success.
  • Keep apprised of product, category and industry trends.
  • Create business cases
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

 

What we look for

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of strategy, business development, or digital management experience (Digital video specific experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize research, stakeholder feedback, quantitative data, and customer needs into actionable product requirements
  • A history of work that shows depth of experience with streaming or digital media
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Ad Insertion and other streaming technologies
  • Must have excellent conceptual, communication and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of consumer facing online experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
