The Sr. Manager of Learning working closely with the Talent Team, will design, develop and evaluate training programs that improve performance of employees at all levels and sets the tone for the employee experience across the organization.
This role will be responsible for assessing and identifying development opportunities and training needs and prioritize across the employee lifecycle by collaborating with key stakeholders. Along with creating standardized metrics and evaluation processes across learning programs to ensure a data driven approach when evaluating and addressing learning needs.
The Sr. Manager of Learning will ensure that all technology and delivery methods are best-in-class and consistently evolving to meet the needs of the business. This role will be responsible for developing eLearning strategies; establish LMS system standards; provide instructional design consultation and project management for web-enhanced, hybrid and fully online courses.
The successful candidate must have strong skills and experience in the design, development and implementation of learning, development and change management initiatives and programs utilizing tools and practices proven to be successful.
- Manages the execution of strategic talent development initiatives by utilizing best practices in learning strategy development in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Integrates L&D strategy with other HR-sponsored programs as a key element of an integrated talent model (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Performance, Talent Review).
- Acts as an internal advisor on L&D (including training and onboarding initiatives) and appropriately challenges and influences stakeholders on alternative solutions.
- Liaises with key internal clients and business partners to translate business performance needs into learning and development solutions (e.g., instructor-led, management trainings, leadership development, rotational program, etc.).
- Improves organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of learning solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a learning culture.
- Leads the development and implementation of learning curricula essential for ensuring that the workforce has the right knowledge, skills and experience; strategically leverages in-house and third-party capabilities and solutions.
- Develops company-wide on-boarding experience for all new hires utilizing the learning management platform to create a consistent and engaging experience.
- Manages needs assessments and recommends learning and development solutions to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Compensation to develop career profiles based on input from workforce planning, skills matrices, talent review and succession planning.
- Establishes an online university to improve access to learning and increase employees’ knowledge and skills across the organization (inclusive of learning and knowledge management platforms).
- Drives adoption and utilization of online learning platform (Cornerstone).
- Ensures consistency in the quality of training programs, initiatives, and materials across the organization.
- Establishes unique strategic plans for each function that improves the knowledge and skills of employees in a more personalized manner.
- Manages vendor relations and guarantee that training program deadlines are met within the planned budget.
- Establishes metrics that measure the performance and success of ongoing training programs; identify points of improvement and develop solutions that improve the effectiveness of training programs.
- Manages reporting to senior management for the purpose of strategy formulation and informed decision-making.
