Job Summary

The Sr. Digital Media Strategist reports to the Digital Media Director and will work with a team of account executives and junior level strategist to execute digital marketing campaigns for key clients. The Sr. Digital Media Strategist will assist leading the team, providing industry and category expertise. The Sr. Digital Media Strategist will also have additional responsibilities and influence related to the Digital Media Strategist Team across CMG. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Lead, guide, coach and train colleagues based on knowledge and expertise of the industry. 
  • Identify areas of improvement needed to produce better media campaigns for clients. 
  • Lead special projects within the CMG Local Solutions Team. 
  • Provide expertise including industry and product/tactic knowledge to the Digital Media Strategist Team. 
  • Be a vital resource to the larger group of Strategists for advice, leadership, client strategy, and navigating the internal resources of CMG. 
  • Support account executives in the field to perform customer needs analysis (CNA) to uncover client’s goals and strategic objectives 
  • Work together with account executive to develop custom strategies and tactics to achieve client’s goals and format into custom client facing proposals 
  • Present digital recommendations and strategies with our local market sales team to clients, co-presenting with account executives 
  • Consult and educate Account Executives and clients on the ever-changing digital media environment and on CMG Local Solutions’ suite of digital marketing products. 
  • Ability to evaluate CMG’s digital product offering against customer's needs, budget and competitors' offerings 
  • Communicate specific product specifications and processes to clients to ensure quality and timely execution of purchased products 
  • Partner with CMG Local Solutions campaign operations team members to monitor performance of campaigns, identify upsell opportunities, and make assessments. 
  • Experience with Google Analytics is a plus! 
  • Meet regularly with our local market sales team and management to identify and pursue most opportunistic growth accounts, prospects, and opportunities. 

 

 

What we look for

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university in digital marketing, digital advertising and/or digital sales. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Digital Media, client-facing, strategic role. 
  • Knowledge and experience with digital media. 
  • Ability to lead, guide, coach and influence colleagues. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to learn and operate multiple internal computer programs and systems. 
  • Strong organizational and process management skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple daily tasks. 
  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment. 
  • Technical aptitude including experience with HTML, pixel placement, WordPress, Photoshop, and a variety of Content Management Systems is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Manager (GAM), WideOrbit, Operative, and other systems is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in fast-paced deadline driven environment. 
  • Strong focus on teamwork and ability to manage relationships across multiple departments. 
  • Results oriented with great attention to detail. 
  • Able to apply creative thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
