Job Summary

Full time engineering position for Cox Media Group’s Tulsa stations. Primary duties are to support the Broadcast technical requirements for maximum operational quality.

Duties will include:

Installation, diagnosis and maintenance of critical On-air Video, Audio, Signal Processing, Transport and Transmission Equipment. Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of Television Broadcast and Production Equipment. Perform periodic software updates and backups.

Support for News Operations, Production, Graphic Systems, and Studio Equipment.

Project management including research, budgeting, implementation and documentation.

Develop a base knowledge of facility systems and assist with emergency building system repairs as needed.

Strong communication skills are required in addition to working well in a team environment. Quick response to technical issues with a customer service and solutions-based approach is required.  Interest and skills in Radio broadcast technology will also be valued. 

Flexible hours and shifts, including On-Call, Nights, Weekends and Holidays will be required.

 

 

What we look for

Requirements:

At least two-year Technical School and/or Associates Degree or at least 4 years of engineering experience in the Broadcast Industry.

Familiarity with FCC Tv Broadcast regulations.

SBE and other engineering related certifications are a plus and ongoing training will be required. Computer and IT skills are required including Microsoft O365 applications.

Reliable mode of transportation (public transportation is not suitable.). Must hold and maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
