Job Summary

Media Sales Associates are responsible for generating various media revenues both traditional and digital for their assigned market to meet or exceed predetermined goals.  You will seek out, secure and  service mutually beneficial relationships with various local businesses, agencies  and individuals that have a desire to reach their target audience through various advertising channels and services.  You will work collaboratively with the Business Development Manager to prospect for new business clients, understand their specific marketing challenges, make sales presentations and sell integrated advertising campaigns.

This role is an entry level contributor with the ability to grow and develop in the media sales career path. This exciting role provides a clear career path to become an effective sales professional and the opportunity to be part of a winning community.


  • Responsible for initiating, developing, supporting and maintaining Media Sales for specified Market Sales Area (MSA).
  • Accountable for successful completion of training program to learn, develop, and maintain working knowledge of media industry, radio/digital properties and sales profession
  • Responsible for cold calling prospective clients via phone, email, onsite visits, and other applicable methods.
  • Responsible for proposal creation and presenting to Sales leaders and existing and potential clients.
  • Accountable for learning and selling digital advertising assets  to clients as integrated and complimentary offerings to traditional media. Work with assigned digital partner/team to understand trends and capabilities.
  • Communicate, service and grow revenue with existing clients and internal team via verbal and written methods to support entire sales process.
  • Collaborates with other key partners within or outside sales team (Content, Operations, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Some sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Some work experience such as college internships, jobs and extracurricular activities
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of and ability to prospect clients a plus
  • Proven ability to grow and develop personal knowledge, skills, and abilities.
