Job Summary

The CMG Local Solutions Digital Fulfillment– Search Analyst oversees the fulfillment workflow and strategy for CMG’s search partners for all CMG 20+ media properties. They oversee the setup and delivery of digital campaigns between CMG and external digital fulfillment providers. They will maintain communication, delivery status and performance. This role will be accountable for ensuring search campaigns for all properties are fulfilled on time and produce results that meet or exceed client expectations.

This individual is accountable for all aspects of search digital products and services including managing PPC budgets, ad copy development, keyword research and implementation, strategic bid management and optimization. They will oversee 3rd party digital fulfillment including product offerings, processes, workflows, SLAs and KPIs. The analyst onboards customers, processes orders, optimizes results in partnership with vendors and trains junior team members.

The analyst will identify underperforming campaigns, troubleshoot issues and make changes to improve results. They will also manage the process of efficiently translating campaign requirements into effective, actionable information for external fulfillment providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Digital Campaign Specialists in achieving campaign objectives, key performance indicators, and timelines. 
  • Create, implement, optimize and manage pay-per-click, Google Display Network (GDN), Bing/Yahoo, mobile and display.
  • Research and propose paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, including design and development of strategy, identification of proper landing pages, keywords, ad copy, and post-click tagging for campaign analysis and Google Analytics insight and continuous improvement. 
  • Actively implement and manage paid search to the clients’ weekly, monthly and quarterly budget goals 
  • Actively test and analyze key words, copy and landing pages to increase ROI and drive incremental volume 
  • Provide detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in order to increase overall search performance efficiency for Search. 
  • Make recommendations and implement necessary optimizations as a result of ongoing data-driven campaign performance analysis 
  • Provide feedback and insight on reports that will be delivered to clients as well as those used internally 
  • Maintain high levels of current knowledge of best practices and strategies in the management of online paid media 
  • Participate with Digital Campaign Specialists in client meetings during account planning and development, as needed 
  • Collaborate on the development of competitive analyses 
  • Work with Digital Campaign Specialists and other internal resources to troubleshoot campaign or performance related issues
  • Maintain regular contact with the CMG Search Marketing account management team 
  • Consistently collaborate with all departments and management within CMG Digital Revenue & Operations to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction 
  • Keep up to date on all client and campaign communications including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc. 
  • Handles escalation and fulfillment of search orders that are exceptions to the standardized product catalog and SLAs
  • Educate sales teams on search offerings, best practices, tools and processes
  • Adhere to QA and SLA standards for search fulfillment and hold vendors accountable for meeting  standards
  • Provide consistent feedback to fulfillment providers to facilitate continuous improvement in the quality of service and campaign results.

 

 

What we look for

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1 yr experience working in search campaign management.
  • 2+ experience working in a digital advertising operations or fulfillment role.
  • 2+ years of experience in working with partners or 3rd party providers.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing with a concentration in SEM, video, web development or display.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple 3rd party partners to achieve desired results.
  • Proven skills in digital campaign management including processes, workflow and campaign performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Resourceful, results-driven and excels at “getting things done”.
  • Strong ability to negotiate and problem solve issues to positive outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and possess the ability to evaluate data and interpret results.
  • BA/BS from a 4-year university or equivalent preferred.
