On Air Talent in Athens, GA at Cox Media Group

Cox Media Group Athens, Georgia is looking for our next great on air personality.  The person that fills this position will work with a morning co-host currently in place on heritage radio station 106.1 WNGC.  Understanding Country, Top 40 or Hot AC and the life groups associated with those formats plus having familiarity with any radio station automation system is helpful.   The person in this role must have a natural ability to communicate clearly and connect with listeners, while remaining focused.  

Duties include: 

• Planning, preparing and being on the air for a live, daily morning airshift and voicetracking at least one other daily shift within the cluster. 
• You must have the ability to follow a station/morning show plan and take coaching/direction. 
• Heavy involvement with:
  • cluster social media
  • voicing spots and production
  • meetings
  • brainstorming
  • running a control board
  • working independently or with a team
  • you may be assigned additional responsibilities with other radio stations in the cluster
  • Having music scheduling knowledge is helpful but not required.
