Job Summary

The Manager, Search Marketing Campaign Operations leads and manages the in-house search marketing campaign fulfillment group for the Search line of products including Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  The position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation, and performance of team members who create, implement, optimize and manage the various search campaigns offered to advertisers at various levels.  The Manager, Search Marketing Campaign Operations is also responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The candidate for this position will need a strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), reputation management, and other digital footprint initiatives that are offered by CMG.

  • Lead and direct the Search Media Fulfillment group in the achievement of key goals in the area of search marketing order processing, campaign performance, budget management, and reporting and insights for both SEM an SEO products.
  • Work with the Director of Campaign Operations to establish and execute strategic plans.
  • Work with department Directors and Managers to ensure integrated, effective operational plans.
  • Understand the alignment of client digital properties with business objectives, timelines and seasonality and make strategic recommendations for enhancing the search experience.
  • Lead the Search Media Fulfillment group in the execution of strategies and operational plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new, cost effective search engine marketing fulfillment techniques, technologies and improvement methods (including automation).
  • Lead the Search Media Fulfillment group to the position of an effective, competitive, world class, leading-edge organization and operation.
  • In coordination with the Director of Campaign Operations, develop career pathing, growth opportunities and training initiatives to foster the development of a best-in-class search media fulfillment group.

  • Six (6) or more years of experience in the digital space
  • Familiarity with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Bing Advertising, and SEO tools.
  • Experience with any digital marketing automation platforms such as SA360, Marketing Cloud, Kenshoo or Bright Edge.
  • Outstanding communications skills and ability to work with other company departments
  • Google certification(s) in Advanced Search
  • 2 - 4 years search engine marketing and SEO agency experience managing client search marketing
  • Direct experience with interactive marketing and media strategy, planning and campaign management
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SEM, GDN, and SEO best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in using Search products to build brands and enhance digital presence to increase findability
  • Familiarity with Small and Medium Size businesses / local digital advertising, trends
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated bias for customer service
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, rapidly changing, dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders and constituents
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
