Job Summary



General Summary of Duties

This position manages the traffic department of KAYU-TV and KCYU/KFFX-TV.

Responsibilities include managing department personnel, order clearance, inventory avail maintenance and updating computer software.

Description of Primary Duties

  • Communicates with the sales staff as to inventory availability.
  • Order clearance and avail maintenance.
  • Oversees the preparation and printing of daily television station logs.
  • Oversees programming of stations.
  • Oversees reconciliation in preparation for billing.
  • Update computer software and back up computer system.
  • Provides sales and management staff with avails information and management reports.
  • Manages traffic personnel.
  • Hires, terminates, supervises, and trains traffic personnel.
  • Attends meetings when necessary.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Working Conditions

Hours are primarily 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

 

 

What we look for



Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in television traffic operations.


Reporting relationships

Reports to the General Sales Manager.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of television computerized inventory avails system.
  • Knowledge of basic television station operations.
  • Typing and 10 key skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Management skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure without supervision.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the staff and general public.
