Job Summary

The Manger, Programmatic Trading Desk is responsible for managing programmatic advertising solutions for CMGD to include managing a team of Programmatic Campaign Managers. This person will evaluate, test, implement, and monitor performance of existing and new solutions based on market viability using CMGD’s proprietary solution management process. The role has ownership of assisting the Director, Digital Campaign Operations with defining CMGD Operational strategies and processes across the entire origination.

Provide thought-leadership on programmatic solutions including new innovations, best-practices, in-depth research, and ongoing performance analysis.

  • Assist Product with initiating, developing, and maintaining third-party programmatic vendor relationships, including OTT video sources to maximize strategic benefit for CMGD.
  • Be an expert in technical, strategic and key industry aspects of programmatic advertising
  • Act as coach, advocate and champion for programmatic solutions across the organization
  • Work closely with other programmatic resources to drive the overall roadmap with monetization and ROI top-of-mind
  • Provide clear communication to, and collaborate with, other digital media planning resources on programmatic strategies, campaign performance expectations, and other key information.
  • Overseeing the team’s day-to-day implementation, management and optimizations of digital campaigns and subsequent reporting.

Work strategically across the organization to define and implement processes.

  • Develop roll-out, training and implementation plans.
  • Work closely with the Product Team and other cross-functioning teams to plan, implement, and enhance processes
  • Run data-driven experiments and analysis to optimize programmatic solutions and inform the strategy to Digital Leadership.
  • Interface with internal teams for performance, enhancements and other opportunities to day to day Operations.
  • Maximize solution development efficiency, while focusing on operational efficiency, in a constantly evolving environment
  • Offer recommendations on how to improve campaign performance and how to best to optimize campaigns
  • Manage the campaign RFP/approval process

 

 

What we look for

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, rapidly changing, dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders and constituents
  • 3+ years in online advertising and ad technologies
  • 2+ years specifically in programmatic ad buying for advertisers
  • Experience with video, OTT and CTV
  • Strong experience with various DSPs and Analytics platforms
  • Digital experience in an agency holding company/agency/trading desk/network
  • Ability to work independently with limited input once objectives have been set
  • Experience with Campaign Manager and Google Marketing Suite: the Trade Desk
  • Be a strategic thinker who can bring insights from the market into our discussions including knowledge of SSPs, RTB, AdServers or Publisher Products.
  • Experience in monetizing for digital publishers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - able to distill complex information from multiple sources into actionable insights
  • Willingness to do whatever necessary to deliver exceptional results; entrepreneur mentality
  • Effective relationship builder, with proven ability to partner across organizations and collaborate effectively across all levels
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; proficient in using hard data and metrics to back Fluency with web analytics and conversion metrics
  • A self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work decisions quickly, and Extremely organized. Must be able to multi-task, with a proven history of working quickly, efficiently and accurately under deadline pressures
  • Able to apply creative thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule or after hours when required
  • Experience in MS office & Adobe products (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • The ability to work in ambiguity and balance the need for performance with market realities
