Job Summary

Rare opportunity to join the incredibly talented, Emmy-award winning Studio 2 production team at WSB-TV.  The right individual will possess the right skill-set and a winning mindset to be part of this great team.  Main job duties are listed below, but not limited to:

  • Manage post production workflows and schedules with project producers
  • Including commercial spots, billboards, long-form content, internal promo spots, sizzle reels, etc
  • Manage media management
  • Manage team project management tools
  • Motion graphic design
  • VFX and compositing, including working with some 3D models
  • Finishing, QC, and delivery for air, including audio mastering and color grading

Additional responsibilities could include;

  • Produce commercial spots from concept to delivery for a variety of broadcast and digital platforms, including:
  • Communicate with account executives and their clients throughout the process
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and develop creative briefs
  • Create estimates and maintain budgets for projects, as needed
  • Assist other producers with estimating process for upcoming projects
  • Write scripts and create storyboards when needed
  • Coordinate other aspects of pre-production, including scouting locations and scheduling crew and talent
  • Occasionally, produce and direct crew during shoots in studio and on location
  • Occasionally participate in the production of long-form projects

 

 

What we look for

Required Skills

  •  Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and other tools in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Great organization of files and media assets
  • Ability to perform basic audio mixing and color correction to ensure quality spots
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Working understanding of film-style production
  • Use of project management trackers
  • Able to manage several projects at a time
  • Work within timelines and budgets, delivering on-schedule and on-budget
  • Able to receive and accept feedback in a professional and courteous manner
  • Timely and courteous communication with account executives
  • Must have a undergraduate degree or related technical training
  • 5-7 years experience working in commercial production, or other related media experience
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license
  • Must complete a background and drug screening

 

Not required, but preferred:

- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects - i.e. able to create basic titles and work with templates if needed

- Working knowledge of cinema-style cameras and prime lenses, such as the Canon C series and Panasonic VariCam.
