Job Summary:

 Leads the compensation function supporting multiple lines of business.  Working directly with leaders and HR business partners, this key leader will build and develop the strategy and design for broad-based compensation programs to support the company’s goals and ensure they are consistent with competitive market practices.                                                         

Job Responsibilities.

  • Lead efforts to assess current programs and build new, best-in-class, compensation programs.
  • Contribute to the development of the Total Rewards strategy and design across all business units and functions; via collaboration with leaders and stakeholders assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Partner and consult to HR Business Partners, Recruiters and management by providing recommendations on compensation programs and practices in support of the strategic direction of the business. 
  • Lead, guide and direct the regional deployment of the company’s compensation programs, including salary structures, variable pay and other incentive programs to ensure alignment with the company’s goals, initiatives, and budget.  Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to improve engagement.
  • Drive the development of holistic compensation programs. Work to define best practices and integrate disparate (and inherited) systems to create a centralized platform.
  • Perform analytical studies in a variety of compensation segments, i.e. internal vs. external equity, competitive pay practices, incentive compensation and emerging trends.  Recommend and implement policy, program and/or compensation changes accordingly.
  • Ensure compensation programs, practices and policies comply with local, state, federal and country laws.  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws including FLSA.
  • Lead a team of compensation professionals who are consulting to the business on compensation best practice, analytics, and sales compensation.

This is a flexible position that is based in Atlanta with periodic travel to the CMG headquarters.



What we look for


  • 10+ years of compensation experience including proven experience with global compensation programs, practices and principals as well as senior-level leadership in the area of total rewards. 
  • Possess high energy level and intellectual curiosity to handle complex issues regarding compensation programs, policies, implementation plans and accompanying communications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.  Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
