Job Summary

Cox Media Group is building a new sales team of Digital Media Sales Executives in key markets throughout the country. Your primary goal will be to identify and qualify high potential client opportunities to partner with Cox Media Group and our full-service digital agency. This position will be 100% remote and will be targeted regionally.  We are the one-stop solution for turn-key online marketing campaigns. Our Digital Media Sales Executives partner with businesses to help them grow and thrive through comprehensive marketing campaigns that include SEO, paid media, and advanced digital marketing services. This position will report to the Director of Digital Strategy and work within a combined sales and marketing department.  If you enjoy new business development and growing your account base to drive your success and income, this is the opportunity for you! 

 As a Digital Marketing Sales Executive, you can expect the following:  

  • Leveraging best-in-class automation to call on businesses to show the value of our digital advertising products, such as SEO/SEM, Social Media Marketing, Targeted Display & Video, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and more
  • Research, prospecting, marketing, cold-calling, presenting, and closing. You own the sales cycle, prospect to close, and have the support of a world-class Customer Experience team to ensure continued support after the sale. 
  • Execute sales tactics, implement marketing strategies, and deliver effective sales presentations with passion, and consistently ask for the business. 
  • Provide valuable feedback to management to improve on sales and marketing strategies. 
  • Closely follow market trends. 
  • Become a valuable asset in the business community by boosting your clients' businesses through their digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas. 



What we look for


  • Previous outside sales experience preferred, but candidates with a strong competitive drive are encouraged to apply. 
  • Results oriented individual who strategically pursues business with energy and drive. 
  • The ability to execute sales tactics, implement marketing strategies and deliver effective sales presentations with passion, and consistently asks for the business. 
  • Subject matter expertise is required in the digital advertising ecosystem including programmatic buying, supply and demand-side platforms, customer attribution, and in the latest industry trends.  
  • Tech-savvy with solid computer skills is a must.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Must be available for occasional overnight travel as required. 
  • Valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation.
