Cox Media Group is seeking a dynamic, personable and focused individual to join our team as Digital Campaign Specialist (DCS). The Digital Campaign Specialist is the liaison between the local market digital sales team and centralized operations team to facilitate digital campaigns from order entry, creative production, campaign optimizations and analytics/reporting. This role will be highly focused on ensuring digital campaigns are fulfilled on time and deliver results that meet or exceed client expectations. 

The Digital Campaign Specialist will identify underperforming campaigns and recommend adjustments to improve results. By maintaining a comprehensive understanding of fulfillment processes for each product, they will be able to troubleshoot issues and quickly resolve them. The Digital Campaign Specialist will also be client facing, responsible for onboarding clients and translating campaign metrics and providing insights.

This role works closely with the local Digital Sales Specialist and Account Executives with the ultimate goal of delivering superior results to all of our advertising customers. 

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus will be executing digital campaigns that exceed our clients’ expectations.
  • Serve as liaison between the Digital Revenue & Operations team and local sales to ensure that goals are being met in the most cost-efficient manner possible.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of digital fulfillment including product offerings, platforms, processes, workflows, SLAs and KPIs.
  • Work with Account Executives on campaign deliverables, goals and performance.
  • Enter completed insertion orders (IO) in the workflow tool & coordinate with the CMG Digital Revenue & Operations team. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Monitor delivery and performance of campaigns and provide direction based on insights.
  • Gather creative or creative direction from Account Executives and/or clients and working closely with the creative teams on the production of ads.
  • Identify optimization opportunities for digital campaigns (including but not limited to display, search marketing, targeted display/video, retargeting and mobile optimizations).
  • Gather, structure and analyze information to derive compelling insights for sales teams and external clients.
  • Reporting is a vital piece. Develop in-depth/custom campaign reports for Digital Sales Specialists, Account Executives and clients to show campaign success and explain optimizations (through use of campaign dashboard and client provided Google Analytics). Storytelling element(s) included.
  • This position must understand the search and audience targeting strategies formulated to meet specific marketing objectives.
  • Lead client onboarding and reporting insights meetings,
  • Be hands-on in clients’ success, the campaign optimization process and be eager to share and explain campaign results and improvements on a consistent basis.
  • Work with Digital Sales Specialist to craft campaign optimization strategies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in digital advertising operations or fulfillment role preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service working directly with sales and marketers preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Proven skills in digital campaign management including processing, trafficking and monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen problem-solving skills - ability to proactively identify potential issues, troubleshoot and quickly resolve them.
  • Self-starter, resourceful and excels at “getting things done”.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and consistently met or exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
  • Proven ability to accurately manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly.
  • Ability to perform in a strategic, independent and executional capacity.
  • Analytical and possess the ability to evaluate data and interpret results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing including SEM, SEO, social, content marketing, reach extension, programmatic, video, display advertising, and website development preferred.
  • Knowledge of production management platforms and digital marketing tools, i.e. Google AdWords, Facebook, Wordpress, etc. preferred.
