What we look for

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:  

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Journalism or Communications preferred   
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions   
• Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism   
• Must be well read on current affairs and have a wide range working knowledge and understanding of general interest subjects   
• Ability to prioritize assignments 
• The ideal candidate will have had some experience in journalism in a professional news organization.  Internships would qualify 
• Must have strong writing skills and the ability to work with tight deadlines in a team environment 
• Must be able to work all shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) 
• Willingness to be coached, and desire to grow to learn how to produce a newscast.  The ability to receive constructive feedback is a must 
• Must adhere to all newsroom policies 
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned
