Job Summary

WSOC TV is searching for high-energy Marketing Executive that is passionate about helping clients grow their business.  Charlotte, NC is DMA 21 – one of the fastest growing Markets in the country aided by the status as the Nation’s second largest financial center.  WSOC TV is looking for a sales leader who recognizes opportunities, a skilled prospector and can build prospects into long-term business partnerships.  Linear and digital Media experience, understanding of media products, platforms and industry trends and embraces change. 

Responsibilities:

  • Generating media revenues for Cox Media Group Charlotte and its entities to meet or exceed predetermined revenue goals
  • Create revenues by working collaboratively with Sales Manager, Research, Digital and support teams to create sales presentations to key primary, secondary and prospective accounts
  • Service and secure mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses, agencies and individuals that want to reach their target audience through various advertising channels and services
  • Consistently prospect for new business and build a qualified full pipeline of sales prospects
  • Analyze client marketing goals and develop needs-based solutions to exceed revenue goals
  • Oversee campaign execution and analysis on all campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to drive revenue

 

 

What we look for

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field preferred.
  • Some fields may require additional certifications or licenses.
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of company offerings and industry trends.
  • The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.
  • Minimum one years’ experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Computer skills, especially MS Office and CRM software.
