Job Summary

KFFX-TV/FOX 11, KENNEWICK, WA, is hiring an experienced Local Sales Account Executive. This position is responsible for selling commercial time on KFFX/FOX and Telemundo stations in the market. In addition, the candidate will sell Internet advertising on our websites. Responsibilities include sales, avail preparation, client meetings, accurate order completion, ratings and research interpretation and proposals.

Basic understanding of ratings, television software programs such as Wide Orbit Media Sales and Traffic, as well as bilingual/bi-literate in Spanish, a plus.

This position is responsible for selling commercial time on KFFX-TV and Telemundo, as well as Internet advertising on our websites, from our Kennewick, WA, office. Responsibilities include sales, avail preparation, client meetings, accurate order completion, ratings and research interpretation and proposals.

  • Sells commercial airtime to clients and businesses primarily located in the Tri-Cities.
  • Works closely with advertising agencies making proposals and negotiating rates.
  • Develops new direct accounts on an ongoing basis.
  • Contacts and services existing clients and agencies.
  • Prepares avails and proposals for clients using existing avail and proposal system.
  • Writes commercial copy/scripts, correspondences and orders.
  • Projects and attains sales goals.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with the production and promotion departments.
  • Attends meetings and training as necessary.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
