Job Summary

Telemundo NFFX+ Television, Yakima, WA, is hiring an experienced Spanish and English-language biliterate Local Sales Account Executive. This position is responsible for selling commercial time on the Telemundo station in the greater Yakima market. In addition, the candidate will sell digital/streaming advertising. Responsibilities include sales, avail preparation, client meetings, copy writing, accurate order completion, ratings and research interpretation and proposals.

Basic understanding of ratings, television software programs such as Wide Orbit Media Sales and Traffic a plus.

Excellent presentation and negotiation skills required. This is a base plus commission sales position with rewarding incentives and growth potential. Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license and good driving record. If interested, please email resumes to lonnie.eaton@kcyutv.com.

Responsibilities include sales, avail preparation, client meetings, accurate order completion, ratings and research interpretation and proposals. Must be able to speak, read and write in Spanish and English.



Descriptions of Primary Duties

  1. Sells commercial airtime to clients and businesses primarily located in the greater Yakima area.
  2. Works closely with accounts making proposals and negotiating rates.
  3. Develops new direct accounts on an ongoing basis.
  4. Contacts and services existing clients and agencies.
  5. Prepares avails and proposals for clients using existing avail and proposal system.
  6. Writes commercial copy/scripts, correspondences and orders.
  7. Projects and attains sales goals.
  8. Coordinates sales efforts with the production and promotion departments.
  9. Attends meetings and training as necessary.
  10. Performs related duties as assigned.


Working Conditions

This is an outside sales position. Hours vary but are primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Daily travel is required, but usually nothing overnight.
